Michigan Center Football Fan Allegedly Received “Booster Bucks” Instead of Legal Tender as Change During Playoff Game

Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — A Michigan Center Cardinals high school football fan was reportedly given non-legal currency as change at the concession stand at Jefferson High School during the Division 5 Regional football contest between Michigan Center and the Jefferson Bears on Friday, November 14.

According to a Michigan Center Football Facebook post, a parent had tried to spend the money somewhere else resulting in an “awkward moment” for them.

A picture of the currency from the post shows a mock $10 bill with a bear dressed in colonial-style clothing in the center, with the bear’s name reading “JEFF R. SON”.

10 Booster Bucks

On the part of the bill that would usually read “The United States of America” on the top right, the bill is labeled as “Jefferson Schools Booster Bucks”.

The Michigan Center Football Facebook page made the post to advise other fans who were in attendance to check the change they could have received from the concession stand before trying to spend it.
